Lush Haul & Product Review

Lush Haul Photo

I recently bought a load of goodies from Lush online, and I’ll admit that I had never really used any Lush products other than their bath bombs before this. I honestly can’t believe how much these products have improved my skin in the last few weeks. My skin is dry and oily at the same time, and very acne prone, and since I have been using their “Ultrabland” facial cleanser, their “Breath Of Fresh Air” tonal water and their “Celestial” facial moisturiser I have found massive improvements to my skin.

I will focus on reviewing the products mentioned above that I use daily as part of my facial care routine during this blog and I will review more skin care products that I have purchased, hair products and other items in the near future. I will review the bath bombs that I have bought as I use them because I don’t really want to use them all up at once for the sake of reviewing them quickly as each one costs around £3 to £4. ♥

I really love “Ultrabland” it seems to be really soothing on my skin, which is very sensitive and reacts to quite a lot of ingredients used in regular facial products, and it is good at the job that it is supposed to do – cleansing. I have found that I have been able to get my makeup off much easier when using this than my old preferred method of using Simple “Cleansing Facial Wipes” and it is a lot kinder on my skin. I apply Ultrabland generously to my face and then using cotton wool pads that have been soaked in warm water, gently wipe off the cream which leaves my skin feeling really clean and soft. I can’t recommend this product enough to people that suffer from acne breakouts, dry skin, oily skin and I would even recommend it to people with normal skin, it is perfect for all skin types and it is one of the best products I have ever bought! After wiping the cream off I allow my face to dry, or if I am in a rush I gently wipe off any excess water with a clean towel before applying the “Breath Of Fresh Air” facial toner. ♥

I really find after using this tonal water that I feel more awake, fresh faced and ready for the day. What makes this product even better is that it smells incredible! It has some really pure and natural ingredients in it such as fresh sea water, aloe vera and rose absolute, and that is without mentioning the best ingredient – seaweed absolute – which has some of the most calming and soothing properties of all ingredients. Seaweed is packed with vitamins that are great for your skin like vitamins A, C and E. It is such a must have product! ♥

“Celestial” is the facial moisturiser that I apply after I use the tonal water because it is made for sensitive skin. This moisturiser is so light that it stops my face from feeling irritated or heavy and it is highly moisturising and calming on my skin. The ingredients used in this moisturiser are all chosen because they have calming qualities and are gentle: almond oil, almond milk, fair trade organic cocoa butter and vanilla water. This is the only moisturiser that I have ever tried that hasn’t made me break out in spots, and if you have sensitive or acne prone skin then I highly recommend that you invest in a pot of this magical stuff. ♥
